I'm originally from Costa Rica in Central America, but I live now in the United States. I had the priviledge of meeting Mother Teresa in San Jose, Costa Rica, when she was visiting Nobel Peace Prize Oscar Arias Sanchez (current Costa Rican President). She was in his front yard, which is surrounded by gates, and she started greeting some people that had gathered outside his home. I shook her hand through the gates and she told me "God bless you". I have felt so honored and blessed ever since. I always prayed to her regarding my relationship with my boyfriend, who then became my husband, and regarding all the paperwork needed at the American Embassy, and everything went really smoothly. I will never forget that tiny, blue-eyed, beautiful woman! Thank you, Mother Teresa. I love you.

Although I never met Mother during her physical life, she d id visit me fourteen months after she passed from this life. I did not "see" her, but a locutionist who prayed with me, spoke of her presence while we were in prayer. [It is a very detailed account which I have shared at length with another holy and orthodox priest during confession]. During that time, I was told by an angel who identified herself as "Arimathea, the angel of Mercy and Compassion" that "there is someone here who has recently left the physical world, who suffered much during her life as you suffer now; and her name is Mother Teresa." What was most astounding to me is four years later, when the Vatican released the statement that Mother Teresa suffered the "Dark Night of the Soul." It was then that I was certain that the message I received was geniune and truly a gift sent from Our Father in heaven. Even though my journal entry from that night is my only "proof" (and five other witnesses) I am solidly assured of the authenticity of this private revelation--and I am most grateful to Mother for having come to me that night. I cried so hard out of a mixture of joy--that she would come to me--and sorrowful shame--that I am in no place to complain about my sufferings--knowing how much more she must have suffered! All I have to do is go to work to teach children in the mornings, but she would have to rise to go help those who are dying-- to die with dignity! She knows now, that I tried desperately to meet her in this life, when she came to the cathedral in Peoria, Illinois to meet with (then) Bishop John J. Nevins. His (then, aged ten) niece, Meggie Malley, invited me to come meet Mother Teresa, but a snowstorm prevented us from traveling there. Meggie had been in my Kindergarten class four years prior to that--she has kept in touch with me during special times in her life.
