I remember a few years ago, Mother Teresa visited this island of Jamaica. It was a beautiful sight to see almost everyone from every walk of life wanting to see and to touch her. She was full of the Holy Spirit and one could hear Catholics and non-Catholics alike remarking how they felt when they came into her presence. The place was full of people and they were not all Catholics; as a matter of fact, I could hear someone remarking that the "people would not even leave any space for the Catholics." That is when I realized the awsome power of this saint and how it affected everyone. Mother Teresa is difinitely a saint. There is no doubt in my mind because when I saw people, journalists as well who would normally bash the Catholic Church, come out of the press conference looking as if they were hit by the Holy Spirit, then I realized the power of this little gentle saint.

When I was a young girl, I was starving to find something right and good and beautiful in life. My childhood was filled with rejection, neglect, abuse and crushed hope. Then one day I learned about a nun named Teresa, who sacrificed and loved, but didn't ask for anything in return. I saw the light of Christ shining through her, and that day my faith began infant steps as I watched her through the years. Mother Teresa's example shined so brightly that later I found my way to Christ, the Catholic faith, and a beautiful life.

I had the life-changing opportunity to work in Calcutta alongside Mother Teresa in 1989. The circumstances that led me to Mother are incredible and a miracle. Mother T. is all, and more than all, you have ever thought or heard. Mother and the Sisters re-energized my life, which was on the verge of total burn-out. I'm still working with the lost and hurting all these years later, all because of Mother's words and guidance.

Hi! Last evening on EWTN there was a special on Mother Teresa of Calcutta at St. Vincent's college in PA. I decided to watch it because I have always had an interest in Mother and plus my family and I had a terrible spring/summer. April - our little dog needed back surgery and was confined and paralzyed until June 27th. In the meantime, my mother fell and broke her arm and nose on June 14th. While I was running back and forth from PA to New York to care for my mother three days a week and then my own family and the dog the other four, my husband fell and needs knee surgery. I was so overwhelmend, I wound up in the emergency room of the hospital with a major anxiety attack. Things started to calm down. Then, my husband lost his job, I broke a toe and then needed dental surgery of which I have suffered in pain since August 27th. I guess I had a lot to pray for. This past Thursday, my husband also now hurt his back so badly I rushed him to the doctor and then to bed. Last night while watching Mother Teresa, I started to cry because of all of the stuff going on but especially begged Mother Teresa to help me as I needed my husband to be okay for his knee surgery tomorrow, October 8th. As I was watching the show, crying and praying, about 3/4 through the show, my husband got out of bed and told me his back didn't hurt anymore. (He can't take medication because of surgery tomorrow). He says it was the rest, etc... I know better... I really truly believe Mother Teresa interceded and made my husband well. I RAN to Mass this morning and thanked God and Mother. I loved the show last night and was so enlightened by Mother Teresa's life. I will continue to pray to her for help and direction. I feel now, even though things are at their worst, everything will work out. So if anyone out there feels hopeless, just keep praying and ask for help, it will come.

My name is Anthony B. This is story as best as I can recall. I believe it to be pretty accurate as my memory is quite good. The year I am sure someone could respond to me with the preciseness of it is when she visited AIDS patients in San Francisco some 20 years ago. She visited those patients and where I came in was when she was initiating or welcoming new members to her order. The ceremony was performed at a church in San Francisco, many, many representatives of several different faiths were included. I went because my friends sister was very much interested in Mother Teresa. At the time I was very much involved in finding my inner self or bliss as Joseph Campbell refers to it. I went along to add to my spiritual journey and support her. As everyone began to leave Mother Teresa did walk past my friend and his sister and I. I noticed several people actually trying to jump over several people to touch her. I was quite surprised. But many people said she is a living Saint and they would do just about anything to touch her. As we attempted to cross the sidewalk and walk through some tall shrubs I immediately noticed her body guards along with Mother Teresa walking in the path we were to cross. We immediately to dis-way any concerns of her security knelt to the ground and bowed our heads. She touched my friends face and said some blessing and when she got to me, she touched and rubbed and rubbed and touched my face for so long when I looked at my friends expression, his face was in astonishment. Later after she left my friend commented how incredible the seen was and how much time she spent touching and blessing you. We then met up with his sister and told the story. Before I could finish she was in shock as well. When her brother told her that the story had more to tell, she was shaking, and crying, then her brother and I explained what she had done while she was with me. His sister began to weep and said something along the lines that you have been touched by a living Saint, she then asked for permission to hold my hand to accept or continue the belief of that blessing. I was honored, scared, confused but of course complied with all my heart. I have only shared this story with very close friends, but always smile, and will always believe that, yes, in fact I believe I was blessed by Mother Teresa or Saint Teresa. I am not sure if the official Vatican certification or proper blessing actually gets released that it will validate or change my experience, in my mind I will look at the experience as one from a Saint. Of course, the official word I am sure will send chills down my spine. I hope this is read by many others who believe, love and cherish who she is. I believe that faith is personal, but it is one who portrays it from a believable way, is the real thing, not Hollywood. With all my love, Anthony B
