Procession towards the platform of Mother Teresa’s statue, with chants and hymns.

Tele Lumiere commemorates Mother Teresa Centenary in the Middle East
Télé Lumière and Noursat, the only catholic television and satellite from the Middle East, to the world wish to honour the Beatified Mother Teresa, in commemoration of her 100’s birthday, on the 26th of August, 2010.
The event will by placing a commemorating statue of her in the Sed El Bouchrieh region, where the first convent for the order of the “Missionaries of Charity”, was established.
As we will always owe remarkable mother, her brave deeds during the Lebanese wars.
Mother Teresa’s statue’s was created by the artist George Aoun and bronze coated by the Armenian engineer Sarkis Ohan.
It’s 3ms High, elevated on a 2m high platform representing Mother Teresa standing with her rare comforting tender smile, and her bright healing look. ( attached is a photo of the statue )
Télé Lumière and Noursat hopes for the participation of all Lebanon and the Middle East in this Holy ceremony, and is therefore preparing, with the cooperation of St. Takla parish, and the municipality of Jdeideh –Bouchrieh- Sed, a majestic official, diplomatic and popular festival for the occasion, which will be broadcast live on our television in all the world.
