I love Mother Teresa because she has been an inspiration to me for many years, even when I was far away from practicing my faith. I had the honor and pleasure of seeing her in Trenton, New Jersey in 1995 when she spoke at the Cathedral. Lately I have been struggling with what I perceive as God's call to totally surrender as he asked the Apostles to leave all and to follow Him. I have been referring to Mother's book, "Total Surrender", for inspiration as I have for many years. I need to get to the point of total trust and surrender. I am now starting a novena to Mother to ask for her intercession. It will be a great day when she will be canonized. God bless and keep the faith!

We love her very much and just this past month have named our Catholic Women's League Council in our Parishes for Mother, we are now known as, Blessed Mother Teresa Council, All Hallows and St. Patrick's Parishes of North River and Brigs, Newfoundland and Labrador. We have a beautiful picture done by a Canadian artist of Mother holding a baby. We pray to Mother to help us in our work with the Right to Life group of St. John's, NL. We pray for all our family and friends asking Mother to intercede for them to Jesus.

Because of the holy life of Mother Teresa, I came into the Catholic Church 3 years ago. Although my birth name is Teresa, I also took her name as my confirmation name. We all have been witnesses to Christ's love through her deep love for Him as she served the poorest of the poor, including us poor in spirit.

I often ponder and think what a great woman of faith Mother Teresa was. I wish the Lord would give me heaps of her qualities so that I may serve the Lord with His love that she had for all the poor and broken.

Even though Mother Teresa was small of stature, she was rocklike in her faith, and was entrusted with the mission of proclaiming God's love to all, especially the poor. I am truly inspired by her devotion to Jesus and our Mother Mary. Since I was born in Ireland, her connection with the Sisters of Loreto, in Ireland is very close to my heart. Her charity, unselfishness, courage, capacity for hard work, and natural talent for organization, is quite an example. She received inspiration from Jesus on September 10, 1946 that became the driving force of her life; I was born on September 10. Truly, her reputation, and response to Jesus' plea, "Come be My light," made her a Missionary of Charity, a "mother to the poor," a symbol of compassion to the world, and a living witness to the thirsting love of God. Our parish and school name is now Blessed Teresa of Calcutta. THANK YOU!

Mother Teresa was a shining example of a servant of Jesus. Her love, kindness, sympathy, and tenderness make the human heart rejoice. It is so comforting to know that her type of person existed. It restores people's faith in humanity and shows all of us that Jesus is the God of the living. Her life is an example of Christ's teachings.
